You'll Never Walk Alone
By Mari Campise. She started carrying a tune at six months of age. She was our first child so we didn't know that was unusual. She grew up singing, took voice lessons but rarely practiced, studied voice in college, and won talent shows. As a young single adult, her friends would persuade her to sing with one band after another who would be performing any given night in a local bar. We thanked God she never accepted their offers to travel and sing with them.
Finally, she began singing for Catholic weddings and funerals of friends, and we were pleased she now gave back to God the fruit of His gift. When Mari sang at various Marian Conferences across the country, people would ask her for her CD's. She had none. She said they took too long to make. Then, after she sang at St. James in Medjugorje, she decided to do it. She had to find someone to help produce it, and John Paul Kaplan, that amazing young pianist, came to her rescue.
Profits from Mari's CD go to Mother's Village and Friends of the Orphans. My favorite song on her album is Mary Magdalene's song about Jesus, I Don't Know How to Love Him. I also like The Prayer and the title song. There are 12 religious songs in all.
